Country experience The Middle East (Jordan, Yemen and Iraq-Kurdistan); Central and South East Asia (Afghanistan and Myanmar); Africa (Rwanda, Togo and Guinea) Europe (UK and Kosovo) and North America (Canada). Projects:Initiative is centred on wider community development and projects ranged from those focusing on the empowerment of vulnerable groups, namely PWDs and their organisations to building institutional capacity of government as well as the elaboration of policy/strategy and promotion of good practices and human rights. Examples of projects include: micro-finance for community development; developing tools for the identification and assessment of children with disabilities in developing countries; international CBR coordination and management (CBR Matrix); institutional capacity building of DPOs, civil society empowerment and government institutions; strategic coordination and mobilisation of resources; participatory and emancipatory research including base-line and situational analysis; policy planning and strategy development; monitoring & strategic evaluation; reforming welfare system, children protection and public education; employability and accessibility and disability rights and advocacy.
